RA/Challenger and GA/Acteen Camp for boys and girls, grades 4 -12, at Alto Frio Encampment is July 26th - 30th, 2010! We have some reservations for RA camp that have become available. Contact the church office or David Cooke ASAP for details.
Missions
First Baptist and missions go hand in hand! Beyond our prayers and offerings for missionaries, our First Baptist family is involved in hands-on missions in Devine (through "Mission Devine", the Food Pantry Ministry of Devine, the Devine Ministerial Fellowship), south Texas (Operation Christian Love, the Frio River Baptist Association), state-wide (Baptist General Convention of Texas, Texas Baptist Men's Disaster Relief), nationally (the Southern Baptist Convention's North American Mission Board, SBC Disaster Relief); and internationally (Mexico, Central America, the Southern Baptist Convention's, International Mission Board). Our Mission Organizations emphasize studies about missions and missionaries around the world; prayer for missionaries, and mission action projects.
Current Mission Organization Schedule
Mission Friends for Preschoolers at 6:00 p.m., Wednesdays
Girls in Action (Grades 1-6) at 6:00 p.m., Wednesdays
Royal Ambassadors (boys, grades 1-6) at 6:00 p.m., Wednesdays
Women on Mission held at 7:00 p.m., the Monday after the first Sunday of the month
Women on Mission held at 10:00 a.m. every first and fourth Tuesdays.

Service Opportunities
We are currently looking for a new Royal Ambassador Director and some men to assist him with our RA boys (Grades 1-6) during their 6:00 p.m. Wednesday chapter meetings, and men to assist David Cooke with Challengers (Teen boys missions). Contact David Cooke at david@fbcdevine.org or 210-416-0490.
We need Mission Friends workers for 3-5 year-olds at 6:00 pm on Wednesdays and Acteen Workers at 7:00 p.m. See Joyce McDonald, or David Cooke.
